Gabriel Macht Reveals His Secret Life After Leaving the U.S.—Won’t Tell Anyone Where He Lives

Gabriel Macht, best known for his role as lawyer Harvey Specter in the hit legal drama Suits, has chosen to keep his new home location confidential after moving out of the United States. The 53-year-old actor, who took a “long break” from acting after the show ended in 2019, has shifted his focus to spending time with his family and exploring the world.

“I got out of town and we’re exploring the world,” Macht told People Magazine. The actor shares two children, 17-year-old daughter Satine and son Luca, with his wife, actress Jacinda Barrett. Macht emphasized the importance of privacy, stating, “I don’t tell anybody where I live because I like to keep that under wraps.”

The decision to move abroad was part of a broader plan to prioritize family and new experiences. “Right before COVID, we wanted to take the kids out of school and homeschool them,” Macht explained. However, the pandemic disrupted their original plans, leaving the family temporarily based in Manhattan. “That just wasn’t doing it for us,” he added, prompting the decision to relocate and travel.

Macht, who spent half his life on the East Coast and the other half on the West Coast, reflected on his time in the U.S. “I grew up in L.A., and I lived in New York for many, many years,” he shared. Now, he and his family are embracing a more nomadic lifestyle, exploring new cultures and environments.

While Macht has stepped back from acting, he remains active in other ventures. He is currently a creative partner and executive shareholder in Bear Fight Whiskey, a role that aligns with his desire to be involved in meaningful projects. “I’ve done some commercial work as a brand ambassador, but I wanted to be a partner in a company that made sense,” he told People.

Fans of Suits will also be excited to learn that Macht is set to return to the small screen in the upcoming spinoff, Suits LA. The new series will mark his return to the franchise that made him a household name, though details about his role remain under wraps.

For now, Macht is enjoying his time away from the spotlight, focusing on family, travel, and personal growth. His decision to keep his location private reflects his commitment to maintaining a balanced and private life, even as he continues to explore new professional opportunities.
