Simon Cowell Reveals Why He Decided to Ditch Face Fillers

Simon Cowell recently surprised his fans by revealing that he had decided to remove the fillers and Botox injections he had previously used to alter his appearance. In an interview with The Sun, the 62-year-old Britain’s Got Talent judge candidly admitted that there was a time when he may have gone a bit too far with cosmetic enhancements.

“There was a stage where I might have gone a bit too far,” Cowell confessed. “I saw a picture of me from ‘before’ the other day, and didn’t recognize it as me first of all.” His reflection on the past led him to reconsider his approach to cosmetic treatments.

Cowell also shared an amusing yet eye-opening moment involving his 10-year-old son, Eric. According to Simon, Eric was in “hysterics” when he noticed the difference in his father’s appearance. This reaction played a significant role in Simon’s decision to completely ditch the fillers. “Enough was enough,” Simon declared. “There is no filler in my face at all now. Zero.”

Explaining his journey, Cowell reflected on how the beauty industry at one point was consumed with fillers. “There was a phase where everyone was having their faces pumped full of this and the other,” he said. “But actually, for me now, a lot of it comes down to healthy eating and drinking tons of water.”

Simon also shared a more reflective outlook on aging, recognizing that with age comes valuable experience. “The only good thing of getting older is you have a lot of experience and it’s not always about the things you did well—it’s also about the things you didn’t,” he added.

Cowell’s decision to remove the fillers marks a shift toward a more natural approach to aging, with an emphasis on health and self-acceptance.
