Meghan Markle has encountered yet another obstacle in launching her highly anticipated lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard, as trademark complications continue to delay progress. According to royal expert and biographer Angela Levin, the Duchess of Sussex recently requested a three-month extension on her trademark application, further pushing back the brand’s debut.

Speaking with GB News, Levin revealed that Meghan is reportedly “very angry” about the delays, which could extend up to a year if the issues aren’t resolved within the new timeline. “She’s now asked for another three months on the trademark application deadline,” Levin shared. The potential consequences of failing to resolve the matter are significant.

“They’ve said to her they will give her three months, but after this, they will have to start all over again, which may mean another year,” she explained. The trademark dispute reportedly centers on the brand’s name. Levin noted, “All she had to do was to change the name. They don’t want the name because it’s too familiar to a name where she lives in Montecito.”

Despite the straightforward solution, Meghan appears to be holding firm to her original branding, complicating the situation further. “She’s sticking to it and making life very, very complicated,” Levin added.

The delays are another blow to Meghan’s efforts to establish herself as a prominent player in the lifestyle and wellness space, a goal she has pursued since stepping back from royal duties in 2020. The Duchess had hoped to follow in the footsteps of successful entrepreneurs like Gwyneth Paltrow with her Goop empire.

The latest setback adds to a string of challenges Meghan has faced in her post-royal ventures, including stalled creative projects and waning influence in Hollywood. While her persistence is clear, the mounting hurdles raise questions about the long-term viability of her entrepreneurial ambitions.

As Meghan navigates these difficulties, the pressure is on to resolve the trademark dispute and move forward with the launch of American Riviera Orchard. Whether she decides to rebrand or risk further delays, the outcome will undoubtedly impact her ability to regain momentum in her professional endeavors.
