A Florida man has been charged with second-degree murder after allegedly shooting and killing his fiancée, Natalia Du’Mee, in cold blood on Sunday night. Timothy Hyder, 57, reportedly murdered Du’Mee after she broke off their engagement during a heated argument at their home in St. Cloud.

The couple, who had been together since October 2021, were attending a football party with several others when Du’Mee shocked Hyder by telling him that she no longer wanted to marry him. According to St. Cloud police, Hyder and Du’Mee had a history of frequent arguments, particularly when drinking.

Du’Mee’s daughter, who was at home when the incident occurred, told police that the couple had been fighting throughout the day and that the argument continued when they returned home. “Jenna stated she turned the volume up on the television so she could not hear them arguing,” the police affidavit says.

“Jenna stated Timothy came into the bedroom and went into the closet. Jenna stated she left the bedroom thinking that Timothy was getting ready for bed.” However, moments later, Jenna heard a loud noise. “Jenna stated shortly after leaving the bedroom she heard a loud noise. Jenna stated she went downstairs and observed Natalie bleeding from her head and mouth,” the affidavit continued, Law&Crime reported.

Hyder later confessed to the crime, explaining that his fiancée had “pushed him too far” during their argument. “Timothy stated when they would drink alcohol they would get into arguments,” the affidavit reads. “Timothy stated while at the party they began to argue, and Natalie told him that she was not going to marry him. Timothy stated when they arrived home, they sat on the back porch talking about their relationship.

Timothy stated they continued arguing and Natalie was pushing him and reiterated that she was not going to marry him and gave him the engagement ring back.” Hyder then allegedly went to the closet, retrieved his .357 revolver, and shot Du’Mee in the back of her head. “Timothy stated he, ‘Put one right in the back of her head,'” the affidavit states.

Hyder later told Du’Mee’s daughter, “I blew her brains out” and instructed her to call 911. When police arrived at the scene, Hyder reportedly said he wished he could take back what happened and that he “snapped.” The firearm was found “in plain sight” at the home. Hyder was arrested and remains in custody without bond. He faces second-degree murder charges in connection with the brutal killing.
