Jimmy Kimmel Slams Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs Over Wild LA Fires Conspiracy Theory
Renowned TV host and comedian Jimmy Kimmel took aim at the wild conspiracy theories circulating about the Los Angeles wildfires during a recent episode of his talk show. While encouraging viewers and locals to donate to those affected, Kimmel highlighted the bizarre misinformation spreading on social media.
Kimmel shared a story about his brother’s encounter with a woman near one of the evacuation zones. “He started talking to a lady in line who honestly believed that Diddy (Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs) started the fires,” Kimmel said, expressing disbelief. “Diddy, who is in prison in New York, managed to start the fire. And she believed this.”
According to Kimmel, the outlandish claim stems from TikTok. “There’s a story going around on TikTok that says the fires were started on purpose by ‘elites’ who intend to destroy Diddy’s pedophile escape tunnels because they’re evidence. This is something real people believe,” Kimmel explained, shaking his head, told the wrap.
To further debunk the theory, Kimmel displayed a map showing the wildfires’ locations, which are notably miles away from Combs’ Beverly Hills home. “Thank God fire isn’t fueled by stupid, or this country would be one giant Olympic torch right now,” he joked, blending humor with frustration over the misinformation.
Kimmel’s remarks highlight the challenges of battling not only the devastating fires but also the baseless theories that spread quickly online. His comedic approach underscored the absurdity of the claims while urging viewers to focus on supporting those impacted by the wildfires.
