Brandi Glanville reveals the reason behind her shocking facial disfigurement: ‘Some Doctors Say I Have a Parasite’

Brandi Glanville has opened up about the mysterious cause of her facial disfigurement, which has left fans concerned after she shared a swollen-face selfie. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum took to her X (formerly Twitter) account on Sunday, December 8, to explain that she has been in and out of the hospital for the past year and a half trying to diagnose the issue.

“What happened?” Glanville wrote. “I wish I knew I’ve been in & out of the hospital this passed (sic) year [and] 1/2 … spent almost every dollar I have [been] trying to figure it out.” She went on to explain the various potential diagnoses she’s received: “Some doctors (sic) say I have a parasite that jumps around my face.

Some say it’s stress-induced edema. I personally say it’s Bravo.” Glanville’s explanation came a day after she posted a selfie showing her disfigured face, which sparked concern among her followers. In the caption accompanying her photo on Saturday, she wrote simply, “Sick it!” without providing further details about her condition at that time.

Previously, Glanville had suggested that her swollen face could be linked to her ongoing legal dispute with Real Housewives of New Jersey alum Caroline Manzo, which began in January 2023. In July, the reality star shared on social media that the legal battle had left her feeling “miserable and depressed,” adding to her health woes.
