Martha Stewart’s Confession About Social Media Skills Don’t Even Know Where They Are
Martha Stewart recently revealed a surprising gap in her social media skills during an appearance on TalkShopLive with chef Thomas Joseph. The lifestyle mogul, who just celebrated the release of her 100th published book, admitted she has never checked her Instagram direct messages (DMs).
“Do you know I’ve never answered a DM?” the 83-year-old shared. “I don’t even know where they are.”
Stewart joked about the possibility of having “millions” of unread messages from fans and promised to address them eventually. “I probably have several million of them. Oh my gosh, I better look at that one of these days,” she said with a laugh. Joseph playfully guided her on how to find them, explaining, “You have to go to messages and then you have to go to DMs.”
The revelation came during a lighthearted conversation celebrating Stewart’s milestone achievement: the release of her 100th book, Martha: The Cookbook. The collection features 100 of her favorite recipes, which the Martha Bakes star described as a labor of love.
“It was a joy to put this book together and a lot of hard work picking just 100 of my favorite recipes,” Stewart said. The book, which includes holiday menus and festive recipes, has already garnered attention for its seasonal offerings. “There’s a lot of stuff for Christmas in the book. There’s lots of good holiday menus and there is the best Meyer lemon drop cocktail,” she added.
Known for her expertise in cooking, gardening, and entertaining, Stewart’s candid admission about her social media habits amused fans, showcasing a relatable side to the iconic media personality. Despite her vast digital following, Stewart’s hands-off approach to Instagram DMs highlights her old-school charm in an increasingly tech-savvy world.
With her latest cookbook release and her enduring influence, Stewart continues to solidify her legacy while embracing humor and humility along the way. Whether or not she delves into her DMs remains to be seen, but her millions of fans will undoubtedly continue to support her timeless style and expertise.
