32-Year-Old Wyoming Mum Shoots Her Four Daughters, Calls 911 with Chilling Confession before taking Her own Life

A 7-year-old girl is fighting for her life in a Salt Lake City hospital after she and her three sisters were allegedly shot by their mother, who then turned the gun on herself. The tragic incident occurred on Monday in Wyoming, where 32-year-old Tranyelle Harshman is believed to have shot her four young daughters, killing three of them.

Harshman survived the self-inflicted gunshot, as did 7-year-old Olivia, who suffered traumatic brain injuries and remains in critical condition at Primary Children’s Hospital. According to the Big Horn County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to the scene at 1:30 p.m. after a 911 call from Harshman, who reported that “her daughters had been shot.”

During the call, Harshman told the dispatcher she was upstairs in the house and intended to shoot herself. “The dispatcher pleaded with [Harshman] over the phone for [her] to remain on the line until responding units arrived,” the sheriff’s office stated, told Cowboy State Daily.

“[Harshman] stated multiple times that she could not do that and that it was too late. Multiple attempts to keep her on the line failed, and the call was disconnected.” Upon arrival, deputies discovered two children, ages 2 and 9, dead from gunshot wounds to the head. Two other children, ages 2 and 7, were also found with gunshot wounds to the head but still alive.

The 2-year-old later succumbed to her injuries, while Olivia was rushed to a hospital in Billings, Montana, before being airlifted to Salt Lake City for specialized care. A GoFundMe page has been set up to help cover medical and funeral expenses. The page described Olivia’s condition as critical and emphasized the long road ahead for her and the family.

“All prayers and whatever higher faith or power you believe in are appreciated for the family at this time,” the fundraiser stated. “If she does pull through this, she and the family have a very long road ahead of them, a lot of unknown right now.” The community remains in shock as authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the tragedy.
