‘Harry and Meghan Are Control Freaks’: Royal Expert Claims Meghan Markle Obsessed with Social Media
Meghan Markle has been accused of being obsessed with social media, with royal expert Phil Dampier claiming that she continuously monitors Instagram comments. According to Dampier, Meghan recently turned off the comments on one of her Instagram posts, which he believes is an attempt to “control the narrative” online.
In his remarks to The Sun, Dampier referred to both Meghan and Prince Harry as “thin-skinned” and “media-obsessed,” despite their past criticism of social media. He said, “Harry and Meghan are control freaks, there’s no doubt about it. And in putting this up on Instagram I think Meghan’s teasing us quite considerably.”
Dampier continued, explaining that Meghan’s decision to disable comments was a deliberate move to avoid interaction. “She’s already apparently turned off the comments so that people can’t interact with her. But of course, the actual video that she’s posted online doesn’t really tell us anything,” he added.
The expert suggested that this behavior reflects the couple’s sensitivity to online criticism. “This tends to indicate that the Sussexes are rather thin-skinned,” Dampier said, commenting on Meghan’s decision to disable social media comments. “They have complained in the past about the abuse that they get online, Meghan in particular.”
Meghan has previously stated that she is one of the most abused people in the world, which Dampier believes contributes to her reluctance to engage with social media comments. “She wouldn’t necessarily want to see these comments,” he said. However, he also suggested that despite her public protests about online abuse, Meghan may still be eager to return to social media.
“I think she really wants to get back on social media despite her protestations that she gets abused online,” Dampier said. “Harry and Meghan’s past behavior has shown them to be very media obsessed.”
Dampier believes that if the couple were less preoccupied with the media, they could find more productive things to focus on. “I think that’s been one of their biggest problems because if they weren’t so obsessed if they learned to just ignore some of the stuff and let it wash over them, they could possibly find some much more useful things to do in life,” he concluded.
The ongoing scrutiny of Meghan and Harry’s relationship with social media continues to draw attention, with many questioning how their online presence impacts their personal and professional lives.
