A former royal butler has revealed why Prince Harry is unlikely to divorce Meghan Markle, despite ongoing speculation about pressures on their marriage. According to Irish Star, Paul Burrell, who once served as butler to Princess Diana, believes that financial motivations are keeping the Duke and Duchess of Sussex together.

Burrell claims that Harry has too much to lose if he were to separate from Meghan, as their shared goal is to maximize their earnings and maintain their brand. Speaking on behalf of Prime Casino, Burrell suggested that money plays a major role in sustaining the couple’s relationship.

“Despite pressures on their marriage and lifestyle, I personally think there are no signs of divorce because Harry would lose too much,” Burrell stated. He further elaborated that Meghan and Harry are driven by a common financial goal, which keeps their partnership intact.

“I think Meghan and Harry have a common goal to make themselves as rich as possible in as short a time as possible,” Burrell added. Burrell’s remarks align with past criticisms that the Sussexes have prioritized lucrative deals since stepping back from royal duties in 2020. From multimillion-dollar media contracts with Netflix and Spotify to book deals and speaking engagements, their financial empire has been built on their royal connections and personal narratives.

Despite rumors of strain in their relationship, Burrell believes that their marriage and brand are intrinsically linked, making a divorce unlikely. “I think that balance works together for the sake of their brand, their marriage. It is all the same thing. I think Meghan actually retains a fascination for lots of people,” he said.

The couple, who have two children, Archie and Lilibet, continue to be a focal point in the media, whether for their philanthropic efforts, business ventures, or ongoing tensions with the British royal family. While Burrell’s claims may be controversial, they reflect ongoing debates over the nature of Harry and Meghan’s relationship and their financial ambitions.

Since their royal exit, public perception of the Sussexes has fluctuated, with some praising their independence and others criticizing their monetization of royal connections. For now, the couple remains united in their efforts to build their brand, but as pressures mount, only time will tell whether financial goals alone will keep their marriage intact.
