Prince Harry Faces Calls for Investigation Amid Prince Andrew FBI Scrutiny

As Prince Andrew faces renewed controversy over his past associations, calls are mounting for an investigation into Prince Harry’s visa status in the United States, following his admissions of drug use in his memoir Spare.
Dr. Arthur Edwards, speaking to The Sun, questioned why the FBI continues to focus on Prince Andrew while seemingly overlooking Prince Harry’s past drug use, which could have impacted his U.S. visa application.
“The FBI has investigated it once, I’m sure they’ve got better things to do,” Edwards said regarding Prince Andrew’s past legal troubles. “Why don’t they investigate Prince Harry?” He pointed out that Harry, who is currently facing a visa review, openly admitted in his autobiography that he had used illicit substances.
“Harry got a visa when he admitted taking drugs at school,” Edwards stated, referencing the Duke of Sussex’s past remarks. The renewed focus on Harry’s visa status comes amid growing scrutiny over how his past drug use disclosures align with U.S. immigration policies. In Spare, Harry wrote about his experiences with multiple substances, candidly stating: “Cocaine didn’t do anything for me,” but adding, “Marijuana is different, that actually really did help me.”
Despite the controversy, Edwards dismissed the idea that the FBI should reopen its investigation into Prince Andrew, arguing that it would serve no real purpose beyond political maneuvering.
“They’ve got better things to do than that,” he said. “And also, it would embarrass the Royal Family for the FBI to bring a charge against Andrew for something they’ve already done just because a lawyer says the FBI should do it.”
Edwards also suggested that legal professionals pushing for an investigation into Andrew are doing so largely because of their own interests. “Lawyers are going to say that because they’ve got people to defend,” he remarked.
The debate over whether Prince Harry’s past drug admissions should impact his U.S. residency status has gained traction in conservative circles, with some critics arguing that ordinary applicants would face far stricter scrutiny. Meanwhile, others see the calls for an investigation as a politically motivated distraction.
As pressure mounts, it remains to be seen whether U.S. immigration authorities will take any action regarding Harry’s visa, or if the matter will fade into the ongoing tensions surrounding the royal family.
